Our Advanced Wireless Internet Access Services

Technology Solutions of SC and Net Doctors have teamed up to offer the most advanced wireless Internet connection available. We have pioneered the use of wireless equipment that establishes radio links between the customer's business and the Internet up to 25 miles away at data rates faster than T1 lines. In fact, wireless Internet access is approximately 400 times faster than a dial-up connection, about 10 times faster than the fastest DSL and several times faster than cable modems.  What can this technology do for you? Such speeds will enable your organization to:

  • Send and receive E-mail quickly and efficiently
  • Download files, web pages and images at blazing speeds
  • Operate with an Always-ON Internet connection
  • Allow for a private networking between offices
  • Protect your office from hacking with a built in firewall
  • Facilitate high-quality video conferencing
  • Support interoffice wireless roaming

What are the alternatives?

56K dial-up:
Limited to 52Kbps maximum connect; Potential for slow connections and busy signals; Speed of data transfer inefficient for companies and organizations; Optimal performance is achieved with only one user.

128K ISDN:
Maximum bandwidth limited to 128K ISDN line; Monthly Telecommunication fees for the telephone line and the Internet service; Limited number of users allowed regardless of company size.

Cable modem:
Creates alarming security issues in with commercial usage; Multiple users share a single cable connection loop (much like a party line); Cable modems transport information at a top speed of 2.9 Mbps; Additional fees for hooking up additional computers.

DSL Line:
Maximum bandwidth is limited to 1.5Mbps. Multiple users share the same DSL local loop causing a degradation of performance as users are added.  Lengthy wait times for installation.  Limited to businesses within 18,000 feet of the central office.

T-1 Line:
Maximum bandwidth is limited to 1.5Mbps; High monthly telecommunication fees and costly equipment required for installation and functionality; Reliance on telephone company for access.

Wireless Internet:
This alternative supplies high-speed (top speeds of 11Mbps), secure and flexible bandwidth options (companies pay for what they use). A wireless network allows aggregation of more bandwidth in areas where a large number of customers connect to prevent network congestion from slowing down Internet access.

- Dedicated Internet

The customer's connection to the Internet is dedicated, meaning the connection is always available, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. No busy signals, no waiting to get online, and no varying connection rates. Always on, and always fast.

- Expandable Internet

Technology Solutions of SC and Net Doctors offer high-speed digital wireless network and an extensive list of wireless equipment that will enable desktop, laptop, palmtop, printers, and virtually any network device to have a wireless connection to your office network.

Do you qualify?

With the Wireless solution, the client must be able to establish a "line-of-sight" to one of our wireless antennas. We currently have antennas placed downtown Seneca and on the water tower at the intersection of Hwy 123 and Hampton Rd, and at Total Communications on Highway 28 in Bountyland.

Once it has been determined that "line-of-sight" exists, a technical representative perform a detailed site inspection.

Signal Testing/Plan Physical Installation-

We determine signal levels on the roof of the building, evaluate antenna mounting options, assess location and consider waterproofing/sealing procedures.

Physical Integration of Network Wiring-

We determine the most feasible way to wire the network to ensure maximum effectiveness.

Integration Into Preexisting Network-

We assess various options for how technicians will set up the network and discuss security issues.

Extra Configuration-

We confirm how client's E-mail or web server will be setup for access from the Internet.

Test/Verify Signal-

After installation, technicians will closely monitor the signal strength. Periodic and ongoing testing of various signal sources will also occur to confirm which of the central hubs can best supply connectivity. Clients are notified immediately if there are any signal transmission or connectivity issues.

Dedicated Connectivity

The customer's connection to the Internet is dedicated, meaning the connection is always available, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  No busy signals, no waiting to get online, and no varying connection rates. Always on, and always fast.

Security

Wireless equipment from Technology Solutions of SC and Net Doctors uses a form of encryption called Wired Equivalent Privacy Algorithm (WEP) to scramble data sent to our network. This ensures your data will not be decipherable in the unlikely event eavesdroppers are able to intercept your wireless transmissions.

Reliability

With other types of connections such as DSL, cable, leased lines, and frame relay, there is always the chance of a router, CSU/DSU, or repeater failure, or the all too common problem of failure due to the phone company, or a constructions crew, cutting phone lines in your area. Since we provide the connection end-to-end, the chance of failure is almost nonexistent. Weather and atmosphere conditions are also not a concern.

High Speed

The digital wireless network is capable of achieving speeds up to 11 Mbps.  As a comparison, 11 Mbps is nearly 400 times faster than a 28.8 modem, 10 times faster than the fastest DSL, and many times faster than the fastest cable modem. There is no realistic comparison. Wireless is simply the fastest means of accessing the Internet.

Costs

Our Wireless Internet Access is offered at rates comparable to standard DSL service and installation fees.  The setup fee is $395 and the monthly access fee is $79.

The setup fee covers all labor necessary to install and configure the Antenna, Receiver and Router.  All plans include 5 e-mail accounts and one static IP address for the Receiver.
